Awards

  • Double Gold - 2013 Okanagan Spring Wine Festival
  • Silver - 2013 Indy International Wine Competition

The growing season was perfect for the grapes, with warm temperatures and long hours of sunlight required for further fruit and flavors development. The vines are 18 years old (two different clones) and the vineyard is on the Golden Mile Bench. Harvested on September 20, 2009.

Winemaker's Notes

This Chardonnay is rich in aroma of apple, peach and tropical notes wrapped in subtle layers of vanilla, spice and tobacco. The wine leaves long lingering flavors with perfect balance of oak, green apples and vanilla.

Wine Making

Grapes are whole cluster pressed to gently release the virgin and high quality juice. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tank to continue the delicate preservation of fruit. The wine is then aged in new French and American barrels for 10 months. Six different types of barrels were used for this Chardonnay. The wine is enjoyable now and will continue to improve with careful cellaring for 3 to 5 years
