2010 Viognier

Originally from France, Viognier is an exotic, rare white wine which is making big waves in the Okanagan Valley wine fashion. So we called it FRENCH COUTURE. The grapes for this wine came from our vineyards in Osoyoos. The 2009 growing season was perfect for the Viognier with warm temperatures and long hours of sunlight required for further fruit development. Harvested on the first week of October.

Winemaker's Notes

This wine has intense aromas of passion fruit and grapefruit coupled with pear and lemons. Subtle flavours of green apple and pineapple, finishing dry and crisp with notes of citrus zest.

Wine Making

Whole cluster press to minimize skin contact with the juice. The juice is then cooled and inoculated with a special French yeast (of course) and fermented in close top stainless steel tanks for three weeks followed by cold stabilization for bottling.
